Last updated: August 30, 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Handshaker (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Blackshiba Consulting Company Limited (黑柴管理顧問有限公司, "we," "us," or "our") and includes the official website (https://handshakerai.com), Web App (https://app.handshakerai.com), backend API (https://api.handshakerai.com), Chrome extension, and related components.

By registering an account, signing in, installing the extension, or otherwise using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the "Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy (https://handshakerai.com/privacy); together, these Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us.

2. Service Provider

  • Operator: Blackshiba Consulting Company Limited (黑柴管理顧問有限公司)
  • Tax ID: 60657238
  • Contact email: contact@handshakerai.com

3. Service Description and Scope

Handshaker is a professional relationship tool. Its primary features include, without limitation: business identities, contact library, Connections, Groups, AI Network Advisor, Network Radar, Discover, Weekly Quiz, and integrations for synchronizing contacts from Google, LinkedIn, or Facebook when you separately authorize them.

We reserve the right to adjust, add, or remove features according to product planning. Some features may be in testing, limited release, or require additional authorization; actual availability is as displayed within the App.

The Service is designed to help you organize and manage contact information you lawfully obtain. It is not a social platform itself and does not guarantee the completeness, timeliness, or continued availability of data from any third-party platform.

4. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the higher age required in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
  • When registering, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information and update it promptly when it changes.
  • Your account is for your personal use only. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (including email/password, Google sign-in, extension binding, etc.) and for all activity under your account.
  • If you discover unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately and change your password or revoke relevant bindings.
  • We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account for reasonable cause (such as violation of these Terms, suspected abuse, or security risk) and will notify you to the extent permitted by law.

5. License and Restrictions

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, and limited right to access and use the Service for your personal or internal business contact management purposes.

  • You may not use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or unauthorized data collection purpose.
  • You may not attempt unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, systems, or networks, nor interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent any security or access control mechanism.
  • You may not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape (except through APIs or sync flows we explicitly permit), copy, modify, sublicense, sell, or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone offering.
  • You may not upload, synchronize, or store content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or that contains malware, viruses, or other harmful data.
  • You may not use the Service to collect, export, or reuse others' personal data for purposes inconsistent with these Terms or applicable law (such as selling marketing lists without consent).

6. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of profiles, contact data, notes, and other content you input, upload, synchronize, or store in the Service (collectively, "User Content") and are solely responsible for its legality, accuracy, and how it was obtained.

To provide, operate, and improve the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, back up, and transmit User Content as necessary. This license is limited to operating the Service; we do not acquire ownership of User Content.

If we reasonably believe User Content violates these Terms or applicable law, we may remove it, restrict access, or retain related records without prior notice to cooperate with investigations or legal obligations.

7. Third-Party Platforms and Integrations

  • The Service may integrate with third-party platforms such as Google (Contacts, Gmail, Calendar), LinkedIn, and Facebook. Before using related features, you must complete sign-in or OAuth authorization on those platforms and comply with their terms and policies.
  • Handshaker is an independent service and is not affiliated with, acting as agent for, connected with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google, LinkedIn, Meta, or any other third party. Third-party names and trademarks are used solely to describe integration features.
  • Availability of third-party platforms, API changes, account restrictions, or policy adjustments may affect synchronization results or functionality. We are not responsible for the operation, content, or policies of third-party platforms.
  • The Chrome extension reads LinkedIn or Facebook contact data visible to you only after you accept the applicable policies, sign in to your Handshaker account, and explicitly initiate synchronization from the Web App; the extension does not send messages, posts, connection requests, or perform other social actions on your behalf.

8. Fees and Subscriptions

Before you buy: prices are in New Taiwan Dollars. Pro is NT$199 / month and Max is NT$599 / month, tax included. Business is a custom plan, priced separately. This is a digital service with no physical shipping; access is enabled as soon as payment succeeds. Once a paid plan is activated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law, and the 7-day withdrawal right does not apply. You may cancel auto-renewal anytime. Delivery, refunds, and other transaction terms are in sections 9 to 11.

Handshaker offers Free, Pro, Max, and Business. Official prices, feature differences, quotas, and billing cycles are as shown in the Pricing section on our homepage (https://handshakerai.com/#pricing) and in the App.

Pro and Max are monthly subscriptions (New Taiwan Dollars, tax included), billed automatically by credit card every 30 days until you cancel through the Web App or by contacting support. Business fees, term, and scope are as separately confirmed.

We may offer connection or Group discounts. Eligibility, timing, no same-month stacking, automatic lowest price, qualifying-member rules, and the 30-day restoration window before returning to list price are as shown on the Pricing section and in the App at the time.

You may cancel auto-renewal anytime. After cancellation, paid features remain until the end of the current billing period, then your account moves to Free—your data stays intact.

For invoices, provide correct billing details at checkout or contact support.

We may adjust future pricing or plan features. If changes affect active subscribers, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Delivery

The Service is an online digital subscription. We do not ship physical goods, and there is no shipping or logistics fee.

After payment succeeds, paid-plan access is enabled immediately in your Handshaker account—no delivery wait.

10. Subscriptions and Refunds

Handshaker paid plans are activated immediately after payment succeeds, and digital content and online services are provided at once.

Under Article 2 of Taiwan’s Regulations on Reasonable Exceptions to the Distance-Selling Withdrawal Right, digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, or online services completed once provided, may be excluded from the 7-day withdrawal right in Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act if provided only after the consumer’s prior consent.

Before completing payment, you must confirm and agree that the Service will be provided immediately after payment, and that you understand this digital content or online service falls under the statutory exception and is not subject to the 7-day withdrawal right.

Once a paid plan is activated, subscription fees already paid are non-refundable, except where required by law, in cases of duplicate charges or system error, or where we individually agree otherwise.

You may cancel auto-renewal anytime. After cancellation, you keep the paid plan until the current billing period ends, and the next period will not be charged.

11. Other Conditions

The Service is not a physical product or food. There are no import/export restrictions and no applicable food-safety rules.

Prices are in New Taiwan Dollars and include R.O.C. business tax. If you are outside Taiwan, local taxes or legal duties may apply and are your responsibility. We do not collect foreign taxes on your behalf.

12. Intellectual Property

The software, interface design, logos, documentation, trademarks, and other content provided by us in the Service (excluding User Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws.

Except for the limited use rights expressly granted in these Terms, you may not use the Handshaker name, logo, or any marks without our prior written consent in a way that suggests an unauthorized relationship with us.

13. Privacy and Data Security

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy (https://handshakerai.com/privacy). Within the Web App, you may access and correct data, revoke Google or extension integrations, or request account deletion.

After you request account deletion, your account enters a default 14-day grace period during which you may sign in and cancel deletion. After the grace period expires, we will delete or anonymize related data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data security, but Internet transmission cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure; you should also back up important data independently.

14. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express and implied warranties, including without limitation merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, data accuracy, uninterrupted service, and error-free operation.

You understand and agree that contact synchronization results depend on third-party page structure, your account permissions, and network conditions; AI or automated suggestions are for reference only and do not constitute legal, financial, investment, or professional advice.

We are not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the Service, third-party platform changes, User Content, unauthorized access, or events beyond our reasonable control (such as natural disasters, war, network outages, or government actions), except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption) arising from these Terms or the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Except where limitation is prohibited by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the total fees you actually paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim; if you paid no fees, the limit is NT$1,000 (New Taiwan Dollars) or the equivalent amount, whichever is lower.

Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or consequential damages; the above limitations apply only to the extent permitted in those jurisdictions.

16. Indemnification

If we, our affiliates, directors, employees, or connections suffer third-party claims, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) due to your violation of these Terms, misuse of the Service, legality issues with User Content, or infringement of third-party rights, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless to the extent permitted by law.

17. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination

  • We may update, modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service (including specific integrations) at any time and will notify you through the App, website, or email where reasonable.
  • You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion through the in-app process.
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) remain in effect after termination.
  • If service termination involves a paid plan, remaining entitlements will be handled according to the policy in effect at the time or as required by law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms due to legal, product, or operational requirements. For material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, notify you through in-app notice, email, or website announcement.

If you continue using the Service after revisions take effect, you are deemed to accept the new Terms; if you do not agree, please stop using the Service and request account deletion.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be resolved in good faith through negotiation; if negotiation fails, the Taipei District Court in Taiwan shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance. If you are a consumer and mandatory jurisdiction rules apply, those rules prevail.

20. Miscellaneous

  • If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  • Our failure or delay in exercising any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
  • You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

21. Contact Us
